The Executive Secretary is responsible is providing office administration and support to Principal to ensure the school runs efficiently.  Responsibilities include scheduling, upkeep of student database system, maintaining comprehensive student records, general administrative support to Principal and other duties requested by Principal or Executive Director.  To be effective you should be proactive and communicate effectively.

SWCEC School Adjustment Counselor will work at The Grow Elementary School. Duties include the provision of therapeutic services, in and out of the classroom within a therapeutic milieu, SEL instruction, program management, IEP development and progress reporting as well as support to families and facilitation of wrap-around services. SAC is an integral member of the Grow Elememtary School team, possessing the ability to differentiate therapeutic approach to meet the needs of a dynamic student body as well as contribute thoughtfully to the team within the school. Candidate will have experience working with our population within a therapeutic milieu, knowledge of and contacts with community mental health providers, understanding of educational goals and programming and ability to become a dynamic member of the team, often taking on a peer leader role. Candidate will be MSW, LMHC, LICSW or similar and must have DESE SAC license. In addition, successful CORI, fingerprinting and completion of SWCEC offered physical management training required.

Special Education teacher is teacher of record for math and science courses in The Grow School. Lesson planning, curriculum design, assessment and IEP development among duties. Work as part of a team within The Grow High School. A DESE approved therapeutic day school as part of The Southern Worcester County Educational Collaborative.Appropriate DESE licensure required.

Permanent substitute provides support to The Grow Elementary Schools. Duties include covering classes, filling in for absent teacher and potentially support for lesson planning. Permanent substitute teacher is member of behavior support team. Candidate should have DESE teaching license and successfully complete provided physical management training.

The Music Teacher will work with principals, teachers, counselors, families, districts, and community agencies to provide innovative music experience and education to students education in SWCEC programs.

The Career Specialist provides and coordinates career development services to students in grades 9 -12 at SWCEC. The Career Specialist works collaboratively with administration, counselors, teachers and support staff to ensure delivery of exceptional career development services, including assessment, goal setting, identification of support services, and case management activities. In addition, the Career Specialist will facilitate engagement with parents, business/industry, post-secondary institutions and community resources to support students’ transition plans.

The Teacher of the Visually Impaired is responsible to screen referrals for functional vision performance, administer a Functional Vision Assessment and Learning Media Assessment and make appropriate recommendations, participate as a team member, contributing to appropriate portions of the Individual Education Plan, maintain appropriate recorded and documentation and provide direct instructional services with visually impaired students as outlined in the IEP. SWCEC TVI provides services, as needed, to students attending member district programs. Travel within member districts required. DESE licensure required. Successful CORI and fingerprinting necessary.

Nurse at Southern Worcester County Educational Collaborative will work  during school day with students in SWCEC programs: The Grow School (students with emotional and behavioral disabilities) and Developmental Programs (students with medical or autism disabilities). Per diem positions fill in, as needed, in programs. RN or LPN considered. Licensure required. Candidate will be required to complete CORi and Fingerprinting.
